Trust is earned by repeatedly giving the user free value. A good ratio rule of thumb is give 3 times, then ask once.
Value is communicated well when the company can explain their ideal outcome better than they can. Repeat their ideal outcome.
I wouldn’t use this service that we imaged. Why not? What changes to the current service would make me want to pay?
Why not? I don’t like other people doing things for me. I want to be in full control of the people that I reach out to, the messages written, the decision making.
What to change? Create at “Do It With You” model. I just need a UI that saves me the headache of figuring out APIs, LLMS, calendar / recruiting automation. Don’t do it for me.
Avoid using school emails at all costs. Schools are by definition highly resistant to change and therefore using school emails is fighting an uphill battle that can be easily avoided.
This market is definitely saturated. Where I see opportunity is niching down to students that want to automate their recruiting process. It’s going to be easy to get “shiny object syndrome” with this startup. Therefore, we have to stick to the end goal. Make a fucking awesome automation tool for students to get jobs.
Planning out the vibes of the company. Professional? Indie hacker? Tech? What vibes will be best for marketing to students? What type of landing page will they respond to best?
We want to focus on fastest product to market. AI will let us do this super quickly. Differentiation is also important. Always add certain components and looks that traditional AI won’t use. Like three.js library.
Honestly not a bad idea to just go ridiculously expensive at first. Like $850/month. We do all the manual research for our clients and actually give them $850 hours of manual outreach labor.
